Summary: Abby is throwing one of her costume parties

Authors note: Our team (and Ray) have taken a few hits this week, so I thought I would lighten things up a bit.

Ziva could hear Abby running down the hall.  The sound of 5” platforms on the tile was unmistakable.

Abby reached her just as she was stepping into the elevator “Ziva, Ziva, wait” huffed the now out of breath Goth.

“Abby” smiled Ziva

“You are coming to my costume party tonight, right?” questioned Abby with her trademark pout.

Ziva sighed “Yes, Abby, for the third time today, I am coming to your party tonight”

Abby smiled brightly “And you’re bringing Ray?”

“Yes, Ray is also coming”

“Goody” chirped Abby who then started to clomp down the hall, but before she got more than a few feet, she whirled around to clarify “and you’re coming as something scary, right?”

Ziva smirked “of course”

Abby looked doubtful, “Do you promise? Because I know how much you hate to dress in costume?”

Ziva gave her a wink and replied “yes, Abby, I promise that Ray and I will be suitably dressed as scary”

Abby cocked her eyebrows in the way that only Abby can and she turned and flounced down the hall.

Ziva and Ray arrived at the party roughly 20 minutes late due to traffic and the party was already in full swing.  The door to Abby’s apartment was propped open so that guests could enter at their leisure.  Ziva spotted an assortment of monsters, ghouls and something that could only be described as a walking hairball – she vowed not to get too close to that.

Ziva saw Tony dressed as zombie James Dean fixing himself a drink at a table set up as a makeshift bar; she pulled Ray over so that they could get drinks.

They had only just started chatting with Tony when Abby, dressed as a she-devil trod over looking decidedly angry as she snapped “Ziva! You promised! You promised you would come dressed as something scary and you and Ray show up in your normal clothes.  Not cool, not cool at all”

Tony looked at angry Abby and then turned and thoughtfully gave Ziva and Ray the once over and replied back to the now sulking Abby “I don’t know Abs; they are actually the scariest people here if you ask me”

Abby gave Tony a look as if he had two heads instead of the bloody one he was sporting “How so Mr. DiNozzooo?” quipped Abby with her hands on her hips.

Tony pointed first to Ziva and then to Ray “Assassin.  Spook”

As a look of satisfaction played across Abby’s face, Ziva smiled broadly at Tony and winked- of course- he would get it.
