Summary: Sometimes writing letters can be more for the writer than the reader
The pursuit of old tax records prompted this journey through his past; but as he dug deeper, both literally and figuratively, it became a different sort of quest.
In the bottom of the last box, he found the small bundle of letters.
He noticed a change in his breathing and his hand started to shake as he grasped them.
This was what he was searching for, his holy grail of sorts.
These were his heart laid bare, and a catharsis for his soul.
These were written by his hand and for his eyes only.
All of them began “Dear Ziva".
