The fourth time she said it – was the start of something beautiful.

She and Tony had just finished their surveillance detail at a swanky hotel restaurant.  Tony had asked her for one more dance before they packed it in and went back to the office and she had happily agreed.

As they gently swayed to the music, Ziva felt Tony pull her closer.  She smiled and with her head on his chest started to hum.  She really liked this song – it expressed exactly how she felt about Tony.  She knew the chorus was coming up and she sang softly in Italian “I love you, my love”

Tony stumbled – if she weren’t so attuned to his movements, she might never have noticed.  He recovered quickly and grasped her tightly as if he was hanging onto a lifeline.  Just as she about to ask him about it, she felt him relax and lean into her ear and whisper “Ti amo tantissimo”.
